How Successful were YOU with your first batch of composting Red Worms?

I’ve always felt that most people were unsuccessful with their first batch of Composting Red Worms because they did not have access to good instruction.

Since I sell worms, it might appear strange that I would host a poll that could scare people away when they are considering buying worms for the first time.

Nothing could be further from the truth. More details coming…….

Let’s have some fun and test out my theory!

I had real good luck with my first batch of worms. The only that went wrong was I didnt wait long enogh for the first batch of castings.

I just voted tipping your poll toward disastrous but really feel somewhere in between. I started vermicomposting in my apartment in October 2007; it wasn’t until over a year later (probably three harvestings) that I felt the whole moisture thing figured itself out. I compost in two small plastic bins in the kitchen and for a while it was very moist. Now, pretty great…just on the winning side of another great fungus gnat war.

I Just started and think I got duped by my local Nursery. I thought I was purchasing 200 red worms, but ended up with about 3 or 4, not hundred, just 3 or 4!!! So I now will have to spend more money for more worms.
